Latah County Sheriff Receives “Spirit of Idaho” award

Sheriff Skiles was awarded the Spirit of Idaho award today by Senator Mike Crapo for his work at the Syringa Mobile Home Park. Sheriff Skiles spent numerous hours at the Mobile Home Park after it closed, helping its residents after the park was closed last year. 

The Spirit of Idaho Award is presented to those who make a positive impact on their community and fellow citizens. Senator Crapo has been presenting the award since 2000. Sheriff Skiles is one of 600 recipients over the last 19 years. 

Sheriff Skiles was also presented with a quilt from the Quilts of Valor, honoring his military service.
